Saeid Sadeghifar Released from Ardabil Prison

HRANA News Agency – Saeid Sadeghifar, prisoner in Ardabil prison was release on 10th May, form Central Prison of this city, while physical condition of Morteza Parvin, one of the same case defendants, was reported unfavorable in the prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Saeid Sadeghifar after serving 65 days of his sentence was released from prison of Ardabil.
Saeid Sadeghifar was arrested along with a number of Azeri activists during a protest against the television program, Fitileh, on November 9, 2015 and after a month of detention was released on a bail of 200 million IRR. The judge of the case sentenced this activist to three months imprisonment which was approved without any changes in the appeal court.
At the same time, it has been reported that the health status of Mr. Morteza Parvin, who has been accused in the same case with Mr. Sadeghifar, is inappropriate. Due to his severe pain in his lower back and gastrointestinal upset, he has been for many times to the Central Prison of Ardabil’s clinic but because of the lack of facilities his condition is getting worse. The authorities of the prison oppose to transfer him to a hospital outside the prison.
Mr. Parvin’s close relatives say his inappropriate condition has so intensified that he is unable to sleep during the night.
It should be noted that after the freedom of Mr. Saeid Sadeghifar, six Azeri activists, named Morteza Parvin, Meisam Jolani, Tohid Amir Amini, Mostafa Parvin, Saleh Pichaganloo, and Mohsen Mohsenzadeh are serving their sentences in separate wards.
