Harassment Against Misagh Yazdan Nejad’s Family During the Visit

HRANA News Agency – Abuse and insult to the families of political prisoner, Misagh Yazdan Nejad, caused tension in Rajai Shahr prison’s visiting room.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the family of Yazdan Nejad, imprisoned student in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, after a while has got close appointment permission but, the visiting room officer insulted and shouted on his brother, which caused tensions and other prisoners’ protests.
One of the participants in the visiting hall, told HRANA’s reporter: “Prison officials had planned to take the little brother of Misagh out of the hall and prevent the close meeting. By prison guards’ shouting, Misagh’s mother collapsed and with prisoners protest, story was over. But even in the moment of leaving the hall, his mother’s hands and legs were shaking, and it was a bad meeting.”
It is to say that, this family after a long time and by request from the prosecutor, had been able to get the permission for a close meeting with prisoner, Misagh Yazdan Nejad.
Misagh Yazdan Nejad, student of translation at the University of Payam Noor, on 10th September 2007, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence agents and by judge Salvati was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for participating in the 19th anniversary of the massacre of political prisoners in 1988. He is serving the eighth year of his imprisonment in Rajai Shahr prison.
