Behnam Ibrahimzadeh was transferred to prison clinic

HRANA News Agency – Behnam (Asad) Ibrahimzadeh, the imprisoned labor activist, who is on hunger strike since August 9, was transferred to prison’s clinic following drop in blood pressure, on August 23.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, who has spent 15 days in hunger strike so far, has been transferred to prison’s clinic, due to blood pressure drop. He had lost 6kg during this period.

A close source to this labor activist told HRANA’s reporter, “Behnam asked for being transferred to Evin prison, according to law and his warrant. Also, he asked for consideration of medical treatment for him”.

Bahman Ibrahimzadeh, was transferred to solitary confinement of ward 209 of Evin prison, following the events of April 17 (known as black Thursday). He started his hunger strike on August 9, in protest to being kept in ward 209 lawlessly. His hunger strike continued after being illegally transferred from Evin prison to ward number one of Rajaei Shahr prison in Karaj, on August 12.

This prisoner is suffering from different diseases and needs medical treatment.
