Behbod Gholizadeh Released from Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Behbod Gholizadeh was released from Central Prison in Tabriz by having parole.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behbod Gholizdeh, Turkish (Azeri) activist was released from Central Prison in Tabriz by having parole on June 16, 2016.
Mr. Gholizadeh was summoned to Branch 2 of Tabriz Court on January 16, 2010 and after being taken to the formation and administration of Yashin Azerbaijan Mountaineering Group and because of using colors and symbols of Azerbaijan Republic in the billboard and his photographic studio and business card, he was charged with propaganda against the system by disseminating nationalism and pan-Turkism.
According to the summoning which was notified to Mr. Gholizadeh on April 4, 2010, he had to be present at the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad on May 4, 2010.
He was later arrested by security forces in Miandoab.
Behbod Gholizadeh was the secretary of Azerbaijan’s non-governmental Yashin organization whose license was cancelled in the months before his arrest by the Security Council of Miandoab.
It is worth mentioning, he had been arrested in 2005 because of participating in the demonstrations of Azerbaijanis to the cartoon which had been published in Iran Newspaper.
