Aydin Zakeri Arrested in Meshkin Shahr

HRANA News Agency – On the International Mother Language Day, Aydin Zakeri, a civil activist was arrested in Meshkin Shahr by security forces and has been transferred to an unknown location.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this morning, 21 February, Aydin Zakeri, a civil activist was arrested in Meshkin Shahr by security forces and has been transferred to an unknown location.
One of his close relatives told HRANA reporter: “it is possible that he was arrested in relation to the International Mother Language Day, 21 February in Meshkin Shahr.”
During the last several days several Azerbaijani separatists have been arrested in Khoy and Tehran and security forces refuse to release them on temporary basis.
21 February is a day set by UNESCO in the memory of killed people In Bengal (in 1952), while registering this day as   the International Mother Language Day, all governments are invited to respect and sustain the variety of languages by UNESCO.
Every year on this occasion, UNESCO publish statements in which it invite all governments to provide its citizens with the best possibility of educating in the mother tongue.
