HRANA News Agency – After more than seven months of detention of Amir Amirgholi, political prisoner of ward number 8 of Evin prison, yet he is waiting for the court session.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), his court session was scheduled for May 23 in branch number 15 of the revolutionary court. Although he was transferred to the court, the session did not take place, and judge Salavati has not announced a new date yet.
Branch number 15 of the revolutionary court and previously branch number 6 of Evin persecution office, have avoided issuance of a bail so far.
Amir Amirgholi, former student activist was arrested on December 1st, 2014 and after nearly two months under interrogation in solitary confinements of ward 209 of Evin, was transferred to ward number 8.
In his court hearing, the persecutor, Mr. Naseri has informed him about his charges, which are collusion against the national security, propaganda against the regime, sacrilege and insult on the supreme leader.
According to a close source to him, collusion against the national security and propaganda charges are laid for his attendance in rally in solidarity with Kobani, and insulting the supreme leader is based on his comments in his Facebook account.
Amir Amirgholi was previously arrested for his political activities and expelled from university in 2008. He is currently kept in ward number 8 of Evin prison.
