4 Christian Converts Began to Serve Their Sentences in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – Rev. Amin Khaki, Hussein Baronzadeh (Daniel), Mohammad Bahrami and Rahman (Zia), Christian converts from Ahvaz who had been arrested earlier in 2014, introduced themselves to Central Prison in Ahvaz to serve their sentences.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Rev. Amin Khaki, Hussein Baronzadeh (Daniel), Mohammad Bahrami and Rahman (Zia), Christian converts from Ahvaz were transferred to ward eight of Karun prison in Ahvaz after being arrested by the security forces on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
They were released on the bail on January 3, 2015 and were sentenced to one year imprisonment at Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz. The sentence was upheld by Branch 16 of Appeal Court of Ahvaz on March 2, 2016.
The verdict was notified to them on May 9, 2016 and they had to introduce themselves to the Revolutionary Court to serve their sentences.
The four Christian converts introduced themselves to the central prison of Ahvaz about two weeks ago to serve three months remained of the sentence of one year in prison after including 9 months of detention.
